ScreamShot Studio Book a Demo

Feature set

Everything it does, end to end

Capture, transformation, guest self-service, point of sale, payroll and the books. One operator app, one iPad app, and no third-party subscriptions holding your season hostage.

01 — Capture

Photos in, organized, instantly

The operator app watches your camera folders and turns raw captures into browsable, sellable inventory without anyone touching a mouse.

  • Hot folder monitoring

Watches a designated folder plus five camera subfolders for new JPEGs, so booth and in-haunt positions land in their own lanes.

  • Automatic processing pipeline

Every new photo gets a thumbnail for fast delivery and a preview for guest browsing, with the manifest updated as it goes.

  • Local server, no internet dependency

A built-in web server on the Mac serves photos, results, config and live events to every connected iPad over your own Wi-Fi.

  • Bonjour auto-discovery

iPads find the Mac themselves. No IP addresses to type, no reconfiguration when the router reboots mid-season.

  • Live device tracking

A grid on the Mac shows every connected iPad by mode, kiosk number and whether a guest is browsing it right now.

  • Memory-cached thumbnails

Thumbnails preload at server start, so kiosk browsing stays instant even on a busy Saturday.

02 — ScreamShot Transform

The AI portrait studio

A posed session, a themed queue, and a render that looks nothing like a photo booth print.

  • 31 built-in horror themes

Hand-written prompts across zombie, vampire, clown, mummy, werewolf, alien, possession, escape room and historical horror genres.

  • Illustrated and photorealistic engines

Two models behind the scenes. Most themes offer both a painterly and a photoreal variant, and guests see both options.

  • Prompt Lab

Test custom prompts against either engine, then save the winners as proprietary themes only your attraction runs.

  • Face preservation, enforced

A universal suffix is appended to every custom prompt: keep the face, add no people, add no text, output 4:3.

  • Concurrent generation queue

Run several jobs at once with live progress on all of them, so a group session doesn't turn into a line at the counter.

  • Theme library control

Enable or disable any theme, edit names and posing suggestions, and preview thumbnails full size before you turn one loose.

  • Credit balance and cost tracking

Transformation credits run down one per generation with configurable low-balance warnings, and the cost lands in the night's P&L automatically.

  • Before-and-after demo pairs

Curate transformation demos that play on the guest kiosks, so the upsell is running while they browse their scare photos.

03 — The iPad app

One app. Six jobs.

Every iPad on your Wi-Fi connects on launch and announces what it is. Hand one to a cashier, mount one at the kiosk, give one to the photographer.

Guest facing

Kiosk

Self-service discovery. Guests pick the time they entered the haunt, browse scare photos and transforms in separate tabs, zoom, favorite, build packages and load a cart the cashier can pull up.

Photographer

Booth

Build an ordered queue of themes, shoot each one, submit for transformation, reject and re-shoot, advance, and watch result status per theme. Posing suggestions display for custom themes.

Register

Cashier

Opening drawer count, live kiosk status badges, pending orders, cart, cash and card, change calculator, comps and test prints, order history, refunds and a closing cash bag receipt.

Guest facing

Monitor

A display-only screen aimed at the guests. Shows the current theme name, the shot counter and the raw capture in real time, so the finished reveal actually lands.

Crew

Staff

Crew-facing mode on any spare iPad. Staff clock in and out and handle their shift from the floor without walking back to the Mac.

Crew

Roaming

For sales staff working the line with card payment in hand. Close the sale where the guest is standing instead of sending them to the counter.

04 — Selling

Point of sale, drawer and catalog

A register built for a cash-heavy night in a field, not a retail counter with a fiber line.

  • Multi-size print catalog

4×6, 5×7 and 8×10, each with configurable Single, Additional and Package pricing, plus an optional digital delivery product.

  • Cash discount pricing

Enter the cash price once; the card price derives automatically from your surcharge model, so the two can never drift apart.

  • Tax and commission configuration

Enable tax, set the rate, choose whether it's included in the price, and set the venue owner's revenue share percentage.

  • CashScript™ drawer intelligence

Tracks ones, fives, tens and twenties in real time, raises health, warning and critical alerts at your thresholds, and prescribes exactly which bills to hand back.

  • Season-smart opening drawer

After a few nights of the same type, the system recommends how much cash to load at open based on what actually happened.

  • Full order records

Product type, size, quantity, cash and card price, discount and delivery method on every line, stored on the Mac and browsable by date.

  • Upsell at payment

The payment complete screen surfaces the photos a guest favorited but didn't buy, right while their wallet is still open.

  • Manager-PIN protection

Refunds require a manager PIN verified against the Mac. The PIN is never stored on the iPad.

05 — Running the business

The part nobody else builds

Photo software usually stops at the print. This keeps going through payroll, the season archive and the venue owner's cut.

  • Live nightly P&L

Gross revenue, cash and card split, tax, commission owed, per-print media cost, AI cost, labor and net profit, recalculated on every order.

  • Per-night snapshots

Thirty-plus fields captured per operating night: photo counts, transformation counts and failure rates, paid orders, comps, test prints and print size breakdowns.

  • Hourly performance buckets

Gross, net, order count, comps and test prints by hour, so you can staff the second Saturday like you learned something from the first.

  • Season summary and archive

Aggregates every night with operating, pre-season and maintenance day classification. Past seasons archive and compare night by night.

  • Automatic End of Night report

One confirmation writes the snapshot, generates a P&L PDF, files it in the season folder and resets the queues for tomorrow.

  • Staff roster and payroll

Positions and hourly rates, clock in and out, shifts rounded to fifteen minutes, total hours, total paid, outstanding balances and shift-level mark-paid.

  • Season calendar and scheduling

Schedule your nights with open and close times, auto-calculated setup and breakdown windows, and staff assigned per night.

  • Slideshow and marketing exports

Curate a slideshow for the kiosk idle screens and a second-screen player for an HDMI TV, and push selected results to a social-ready export folder.

See it running before you commit a season to it

We'll share a screen, run a scare photo through the pipeline, transform a portrait end to end, and open the books so you can decide with your own eyes.
