For haunted attractions, scare parks & escape rooms
They came to scream. They'll pay to see it.
ScreamShot Studio hides cameras inside your haunt to catch the moment they scream — then transforms those same guests into cinematic horror portraits at the booth. Two revenue streams from a single visit, running on a single computer.
Shaped by years of haunt nights at Pure Terror Screampark

- 31 built-in horror themes
- 6 iPad modes
- Up to 6 camera positions
- Live nightly P&L
- No cloud subscription
The problem with haunt photography
Most photo booths sit empty while your line walks right past
A posed photo in front of a backdrop is a hard sell to somebody who just wants to get to the next maze. The souvenir has to be something they didn't know existed — and something they have to see.
Nobody seeks out a photo booth
Foot traffic is the whole game. Without a reason to walk over, a booth is floor space you're paying for and staff you're paying to stand there.
One sale per guest, at best
A single print at the exit caps what any visitor is worth to you. There's no second offer and no reason to come back to the counter.
The books live in a spreadsheet
Cash drawer in one place, print costs in another, payroll somewhere else. You find out whether the night made money sometime the following week.
Revenue stream 01
The scare cam catches what nobody can pose for
Hidden cameras are concealed throughout the haunt and wired into the operator station. When your actors hit a corridor ambush or a sudden reveal, the cameras fire — capturing the genuine, unguarded reaction underneath.
Guests come out and find themselves mid-flinch, wide-eyed, clutching each other. That photo is the reason they walk to your booth. You are not selling a souvenir anymore; you're selling the evidence.
- Photos auto-process and organize by camera location the moment they land
- Guests find their own shots on self-service iPad kiosks by picking the time window they entered
- Favorite, compare, and buy 4×6, 8×10 prints or digital delivery

Revenue stream 02
Then turn them into the monster
Next to the kiosks, your photographer runs a live portrait session. These are posed shots built specifically for transformation — and minutes later the guest is a zombie survivor, a gothic vampire, a killer clown, a body in a mummy's tomb.
Thirty-one built-in themes render in either an illustrated painterly style or full photorealism. The results are dramatically more cinematic than anything a standard booth produces, which is exactly why they command a second sale.
- Photographer builds a themed shooting queue on an iPad in Booth Mode
- A guest-facing Monitor iPad shows the theme and live capture, building the reveal
- Custom themes built in Prompt Lab stay proprietary to your attraction

The combined experience
The scare sells the photo. The photo sells the portrait.
Neither half of ScreamShot Studio is a photo booth waiting to be noticed. The scare cam manufactures the foot traffic, and the traffic walks straight into the second offer.
01
The haunt does the marketing
Your actors are already doing the work. Every ambush and reveal trips a hidden camera, and the guest has no idea a souvenir was just created.
02
They come looking for you
Word moves down the line fast. Guests hunt for the kiosks to find their own reaction — a pull no backdrop and a folding table has ever generated.
03
The second sale is already there
At the kiosk they meet a before-and-after transform demo. The portrait session is ten steps away, and one cashier station rings up both.
Everything on one machine
Built for a haunt night, not a photo studio
Cameras, kiosks, the booth, the register and the books — one Mac in the back room runs all of it, and every iPad on your Wi-Fi finds it by itself.
Capture
Six camera positions, watched constantly
The operator app monitors a hot folder plus five camera subfolders, generating thumbnails and guest previews the second a frame lands.
Network
Zero-configuration iPads
The Mac advertises itself over Bonjour. Any iPad on the same Wi-Fi connects on launch — no IP addresses, no setup, no IT person on payroll.
Sync
Everything updates live
A real-time event stream pushes photo arrivals, AI progress, booth session state and orders to every connected device at once.
Themes
31 horror themes, plus your own
Zombies, vampires, clowns, mummies, werewolves, possessions, escape rooms and more — most in both illustrated and photorealistic styles. Prompt Lab builds proprietary themes nobody else can copy.
Roles
One iPad app, six modes
Kiosk, Booth, Cashier, Monitor, Staff and Roaming. Every staff role gets the right screen from whatever iPad is nearest.
Self-service
Guests find their own photos
Kiosks ask what time they entered the haunt, then serve their window. Pinch-to-zoom previews, watermark bars, favorites, cart and package builder.
Register
A real point of sale
Cash and card, change calculation, comps and test prints, pending kiosk orders, order history and manager-PIN refunds. The Mac is the source of truth.
CashScript™
The drawer thinks for itself
Live bill inventory on ones, fives, tens and twenties, low-stock alerts, exact-change prescriptions, and a learned recommendation for what to load at open.
Money
Nightly P&L as it happens
Gross, cash and card split, tax, venue commission, print media cost per print, AI cost, labor, net profit — recalculated with every order that clears.
Season
Every night on the record
Per-night snapshots with photo counts, AI stats, print breakdowns and hourly buckets. End of Night writes a P&L PDF and archives it. Compare seasons night by night.
Crew
Staff, shifts and payroll
Clock in and out, rounded hours, hourly rates, hours worked, pay owed and outstanding balances. Schedule the season and assign staff per night.
Venue
Commission handled automatically
Set your revenue-share percentage once and the owner's cut is calculated and shown as a deduction on every nightly statement.
The gallery
What your guests walk away with
Every one of these started as a posed photo of an ordinary person standing at a gray background. Illustrated or photorealistic, the output is closer to a movie poster than a souvenir print.

The platform
Three pieces. Nothing else to subscribe to.
ScreamShot Studio
The nerve center. Watches every camera folder, dispatches transformation jobs, serves photos and events to the iPads, and tracks every dollar of the night in real time. Runs on an M-series Mac in your back room.
ScreamShot Studio Kiosk
One app your whole crew shares. Guest kiosk, photographer's booth controller, cashier register, guest-facing monitor, staff and roaming. Pick a mode at launch and it configures itself.
Transformation backend
A hardened relay between your Mac and the image engines. Credentials never live in the app, never sit on a machine in your ticket booth, and never travel with a stolen iPad.
The books
Know what the night made before you lock the gate
Most haunt photo operations find out how they did days later, once somebody reconciles the drawer against a stack of receipts. Every transaction here feeds a live statement instead.
At End of Night the system writes the snapshot, generates the P&L as a PDF, and files it in the season archive. Next October you can pull up any night and drill into it hour by hour.

Where it came from
Built in a working haunt, not a boardroom
ScreamShot Studio was developed, optimized and streamlined over years of running photography at Pure Terror Screampark. Every feature in it exists because a real night demanded it — real lines, real weather, real cash drawers and real staff who don't have time to fight software. It was built around a full rig:
- Multiple DSLR cameras across the booth and up to five in-haunt positions
- Multiple guest-facing iPad kiosks outside the attraction
- One cashier iPad at the payment station
- One booth iPad with the photographer
- Guest-facing monitor iPads in the shooting area
- A single M-series Mac operator station
Book a live demo before your season starts
Thirty minutes, screen shared, on your schedule. We'll walk the scare cam pipeline, run a transformation end to end, and open the nightly P&L so you can see exactly what the software knows about your money.
